In celebration of its 25th year in business, The Jam Room recording studio in Columbia has organized a day-long, city-wide festival scheduled for October 13. Headliners, such as The Hold Steady and Justin Townes Earle, complement a slate of local talent that includes Say Brother, Can’t Kids and Those Lavender Whales. The festival also includes dance performances, an audio exhibit featuring music recorded at the Jam Room, food trucks and a screening of the film “25 Years & Counting: A Documentary,” which tells the story of the Jam Room’s formation and growth.
Admission to the Jam Room Music Festival, which is centered around Columbia’s Main Street, is free. More information is available here. —Bryan C. Reed
