Storms OV Jupiter ready Omnipotence, their third album this year

SOJ-Omnipotence

The Columbia synth-noise duo of Tim Chappell and Matt Chamblee has announced the third album to be released this year bearing the duo’s Storms OV Jupiter handle. With the Oct. 23 release of Omnipotence, SOJ will follow their debut and sophomore albums — Dying Screams of an Imploding Star and Cosmic Apocalypse, respectively —  with a single 25-minute piece that continues the duo’s sonic explorations, informed by early-synthesizer music, sci-fi and horror movie scores, and ambient drone.

Omnipotence is about new beginnings and evolving into a more powerful entity,” Chappell said in a press release. “This is the first recording we’ve made since realizing the potential of the project. It’s more purified and closer to the vision we intended SOJ to be.”
