Tonight, Shuffle is proud to present one of our favorite bands live in concert: Chapel Hill’s Lost in the Trees graft orchestral-powered swells of dense modern angst to the heartbreaking odes of singer Ari Picker. His songs explore his pained background, most recently paying homage to his late mother, who committed suicide a few yeas ago. The sextet handle these crushing emotions nimbly, bolstering dark imagery with a hopeful sense of grandeur. It’s an overwhelming display, one that shines brightest in the live environment.

LITT hit Charlotte’s Visulite tonight alongside ace indie rock outfit Daytona, and we’re giving away three pairs of tickets. Simply leave a comment below telling us your favorite LITT song before 4 p.m., and we’ll select the winners shortly thereafter. Be sure to include your full name as the tickets will be left at the door. Stay tuned to shufflemag.com for more giveaways and the latest in Carolinas music news.
